For many children, this might be their first vacation away from home – and our caring team of counsellors makes sure it’s a positive, fun, and unforgettable experience. From the moment they arrive, participants are welcomed with warmth, guided with care, and encouraged to make new friends while enjoying a week full of exciting activities and shared adventures.
Week 1: Castle & Mountain Adventure Week
19.07. – 25.07., 02.08. – 08.08., 16.08. – 22.08.
In this exciting camp week, children can look forward to thrilling adventures high up in the mountains! On the adventure mountain, exciting stations invite you to climb, swing, slide, and master a variety of fun obstacle courses. Another highlight is the excursion to the castle “Burg Hohenwerfen”, where the children dive into the world of knights, explore the castle, and experience an impressive bird of prey show. A week full of action, fun, and new experiences awaits!
Week 2: Cave & Gorge Discovery Week
12.07. – 18.07., 26.07. – 01.08., 09.08. – 15.08.
This week is all about exploring, discovering, and marvelling! A special highlight is the trip to the salt mine, where the children descend deep into the mountain, slide down the mine tunnels, and learn fascinating facts about salt mining. On the excursion to the “Liechtenstein Gorge”, they explore dramatic rock formations, listen to the roaring waterfall, and watch the rushing water from the impressive spiral staircase. A week full of adventure, nature experiences, and fascinating discoveries!
But that’s not all! Countless other experiences await, such as an adventure hike, a campfire under the starry sky, a fun olympics, a movie night, creative workshops, dancing, singing, a disco, and an exciting torchlight hike. Boredom? Not with us!
At the end of an action-packed and varied camp week, your child will return home with new friendships, unforgettable memories, and plenty of summer vibes.
High-Level Care
For our youngest participants, we place special emphasis on close and attentive supervision. With a 1:5 counsellor-to-child ratio, every child receives the individual attention and support they need – whether it’s getting dressed, brushing their teeth, listening to bedtime stories, or easing a bit of homesickness. Our counsellors are specially trained for this age group and well prepared for their role at camp. We also value close communication with parents throughout the camp week. Especially for our youngest campers, we make sure to involve parents right away in case of homesickness or small worries. This ensures that every child feels safe, comfortable, and happy at Kids Camp.

The children stay at the ya! Erlebnisgästehaus Peilsteinhof in Kleinarl, located in the beautiful Salzburg region. The Peilsteinhof offers endless opportunities for fun, adventure, and relaxation: on the spacious grounds, children can enjoy a water fun slide, a soccer field, a bouldering wall, an adventure playground, and a trampoline. Just beyond the doorstep, nature awaits – with hiking trails that lead straight into unforgettable summer adventures.
The children stay in cozy multi-bed rooms with private shower and toilet. The house also features a hobby room with disco and karaoke setup, table tennis, a campfire and barbecue area, and much more – perfect conditions for lots of fun and shared experiences.

arrival & departure information
You have the possibility to bring your child directly to the camp - so you can get an idea of the ya! Jugendhotel, the counselors and the surroundings.
Important information: On the day of arrival (Sunday) you can check in with your child between 15:00 - 18:00 - on the day of departure (Saturday) you have to pick up your child until 11:00.
If it is not possible for you to arrive or depart during these times, please contact our office in advance.
If you want to stay overnight near the camp on the day of arrival or departure, please contact the local tourist office.
You are welcome to book a trip with the camp bus from/to Salzburg every week.
There is a meeting point (Salzburg main station) where you can entrust your child to us. The bus departs at approximately 15:00. Exact information about the meeting point or times will be given to you 2 weeks befor the camp starts with the travel documents.
The hotels are located approx. 100 km from Salzburg main station; travel time by coach approx. 1h40min.

Since we offer accompanied train travel from / to Germany only every 2 weeks, we offer a pick-up service from the platform for 1-week stays at the main train station in Salzburg. Certain trains run through from Germany to Salzburg (without changing trains). If you trust your child to travel alone, we will be happy to pick them up directly at the train platform and accompany them to the shared transfer that will take the children to the camps. We do not charge any extra fee for the pick-up service - only the costs for the collective transfer from Salzburg to the camp have to be paid. The ticket for the train ride has to be organized independently. We will be happy to help you find the right connection.
The escort service from / to the train platform must be booked in advance! Please note that the collective transfer from Salzburg leaves at about 15:30, so the arrival should ideally be between 14:00 and 15:00. For return trips, the train should not leave before 12:00 and not after 13:00.
Should the train be significantly delayed, any costs for an individual transfer to the camp may be incurred.
How does the accompanied train journey work?
A ya! travel guide will meet you and your child at the departure station at the platform of the given train. He/she looks after the group, takes care of the children joining at a later station and hands over the children in Salzburg to the ya! team. From here, the children will travel on to the summer camps with the other participants in buses. You will receive detailed information on train times, train numbers, etc. with your travel documents.

On the day of arrival, your child will be met in the arrivals hall by a ya! caregiver and will be taken care of from this point on. Games, craft materials and snacks are included!
On the day of departure, your child will be taken to the airport and, depending on the departure time, accompanied to the check-in counter/passport control. Should there be a waiting time at the airport on departure, your child will of course be looked after by our team.
Please note that the service at the ya! Erlebnisgästehaus ends after breakfast at the latest; the children will be taken to the airport together in the morning; during the waiting time at the airport, the children will of course be looked after. Additional childcare costs may apply for departures after 16:00.
The ideal arrival and departure time for your child is between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm.
